Relativity Media is a leading independent entertainment studio specializing in the acquisition and distribution of commercially successful films across all platforms, including theatrical releases, digital, transactional, streaming services, and television.

CHALLENGE

With a continuous slate of content released annually across various digital platforms and an extensive library of titles, Relativity Media required immediate access to a solution that offers same-day launch reporting. This is crucial for ensuring compliance with availability, artwork, pricing and metadata

Additionally, effective management of pricing and content merchandising during New Release and library price promotions is vital. Given their significant media investments driving traffic to digital stores, any errors could impact sales, revenue and the customer experience.

In the summer of 2024, Relativity Media launched a comprehensive price promotion with a major digital retailer. Despite this, three key titles—Hypnotic (starring Ben Affleck), The Immortals (starring Henry Cavill), and the popular Shark Night—encountered limited promotional exposure on the digital shelf. This was due to a configuration error that caused pricing discrepancies across all three titles and formats, undermining their merchandising effectiveness.

SOLUTION

The Looper Insights platform provided crucial support through its Vizibility solution. By tracking all targeted devices—mobile, web, Smart TVs, set-top boxes, streaming devices, and game consoles—along with digital retailers, the platform ensured compliance and optimized merchandising throughout the customer lifecycle.

Relativity Media utilized Looper Insights’ intuitive, automated dashboard to immediately  address pricing errors, audit their catalog, verify artwork, align metadata, and confirm adherence to negotiated promotional space.
