Shifting Screens in the UK: Who Took the Spotlight in June?

UK Edition - Streamer of the Month: June 2025

Shifting Screens in the UK: Who Took the Spotlight in June?

Screens in the UK didn’t sleep this June. From tentpole hits and unscripted favourites to a wave of new crime and comedy launches, streamers showed no signs of easing into summer. But with pressure rising across platforms and promotions, who actually captured the audience’s attention? The answers are inside the June UK Streamer of the Month report.

Prime Video led the charge with an app-level MPV™ of 38,050, claiming more Top 10 titles than any other platform. Clarkson’s Farm stood tall with a headline-worthy MPV™ of 1,948, while The Accountant 2 followed close behind, giving Prime a commanding presence in both drama and documentary lanes. But it wasn’t just the volume of content, it was how and where it showed up that made the difference.

Across the board, Public Service Broadcasters held their ground, but momentum shifted. BBC iPlayer and ITVX placed four titles in the Top 10 combined, but that total was down from previous months, raising questions about whether legacy visibility is enough in a more crowded, competitive space. Love Island returned for its latest run and true crime staples remained strong, but new scripted launches and platform-driven promotion strategies began to tip the balance. Want to see which titles rose fastest, and where their visibility came from? The full rankings and placement breakdowns are in the June UK Streamer of the Month report.

Apple TV+ focused on genre depth over title count, while Disney+ leaned into nature and family fare, securing smart placements that kept it in the conversation – and yes, when Sir David Attenborough speaks, audiences (and algorithms) still listen. And Channel 4? Let’s just say it found new energy in comedy this month – with one bold new title making waves across Freely and Roku alike.

There’s much more behind the movement. Who used high-impact placements to drive breakout success? And which PSB may need to rethink its visibility strategy heading into Q3? With app-level winners, title-by-title MPV™ insights, and campaign breakdowns, it’s all inside the June UK Streamer of the Month report.
