We’re excited to share that Looper Insights has been featured in TheWrap for our latest research into one of streaming’s biggest current bets: live sports.
Back in February, we set out to better understand the real value of sports in the streaming ecosystem – not just from the perspective of the services investing in it, but from the viewers they’re trying to reach.
Our study surveyed 1,103 U.S. consumers and 54 senior industry executives, revealing a striking disconnect between industry priorities and consumer sentiment. While streaming platforms continue to pour resources into securing sports rights, our data suggests that audiences aren’t quite as convinced:

56% of consumers said sports rights don’t impact their streaming choices

Only 14% said they’d pay for multiple services to access sports content
